Cross Country

 

On Saturday, Aug. 28, MSMS went to Tupelo to participate in the Cross Country meet and ran in the 1A-3A Division.

Top finishers in the ladies' 4k included Laurel Marsh (junior) 19:39 - 14th place, Michelle Zeng (junior) 21:10 - 25th place, Leena El-Sadek (senior) 22:14 - 34th place, and Angela Wu (senior) 23:02 - 39th place.

Top finishers in the men's 5k included Kyle Jasko (senior) 21:42 - 38th place, Darian Kelly (senior) 23:50 - 61st place, Camden Perkins (senior) 25:16 - 70th place, and Frank McDonald (senior) 28:50 - 91st place.

After the meet, team co-captain Kyle Jasko, who believes they have "a really good team this year," said  the whole team is looking forward to getting Stephen Montross back off the injury list, adding that they "plan to run even harder at the next meet."
